Eligible models:    2.6i V6 petrol, 3.0i V6 petrol, 3.2i V6 petrol.

On 6th October 1997 a new model was launched in the Omega range. For nearly four years there was a hole in the Omega range, there were those drivers who wanted the performance of the 3.0i litre Elite but did not want to pay Elite prices. In the previous Carlton/Senator range drivers had a choice, the sporty GSi 3000 or the luxurious Senator. The Omega MV6 was launched as the spiritual successor to the Carlton GSi 3000. The MV6 has the advantage that it caters for wider audience than its predecessor in that it is available in both 4-door saloon and estate versions and it also carries a lower price tag than the GSi did in 1994.

Electronically controlled, with load-sensing adaptive shift patterns for improved economy and driveability plus Economy, Sport and Winter driving modes and electronic park brake/shift lock.
